PTA supports innovation grants and expense reimbursements for teachers, library books and materials, PE equipment, living classroom and art docent supplies, and Starting Arts for K-3 students. We also plan and run community events such as Walk-a-thon, Family Science Night, Field Day, and more.

We ask families to donate $325-575 per student to support our annual goals.

How Does the Almond PTA Raise Money?

Revenue Generating Fundraisers

Revenue Generators are programs and events whose primary purpose is to raise money in order to fund a variety of programs at Almond School. These events are our most volunteer-intensive, so the PTA often examines how to better improve the margin (money raised versus money spent) of each event. Events included this category are:

  1. PTA Membership

  2. Write-a-Check Campaign

  3. Walkathon & Silent Auction

  4. Spring Gala and Live Auction (alternating years)

Community Service Fundraisers

Community Service programs or events may raise funds for Almond school; however, the primary intent of these programs/events is to build pride in our school and our school community and foster relationships between families.  Activities that fall into this category are:

  1. Apparel Sales/Almond Wear

  2. Book Fairs

  3. Yearbooks

  4. Community Parties such as GLOW, Poker, and Little Black Dress

  5. Teacher-sponsored auction parties

  6. Family Dining Nights at local eateries

  7. re-listing Walkathon and Spring Gala as these are also beloved community events

Self Funding

The third category of programs look like fundraisers, but in fact, are not. These programs are called “Self Funding” because any money collected with the program covers the cost of that program or event. Programs or events that fall in this category are:

  1. Chorus

  2. Drama
